Register a Resource
Open the Findings tab, find the Resource, and use Register on its row.Registration Takes Two Steps
Step one, Register. The Resource becomes an Agent in the Agent Registry, in a pending state. The scan found the service. Vijil still needs credentials to reach it. Step two, Continue registration. Supply the endpoint, the access key, the access level, and the rate limit. See Access Levels. What Is Eligible
Two conditions have to hold. It has to be an Agent. Models, functions, runtimes, and knowledge bases count as inventory. The platform can evaluate and protect Agents only. It has to have a durable identity. Some Resources carry an identity that the scan builds from what it observed. That identity changes when a certificate renews or an address moves, so the Resource returns under a new identifier. See Identity Across Rescans. Where a Resource fails either test, the Console says which:You cannot register Agents found by endpoint Collectors today. An Agent on a laptop carries
a machine-local address, and the platform has no route to it.
Resource Status
Every Resource carries a status. A Resource you have yet to review reads Candidate.
A Matched Resource is already a registered Agent. Follow the link to it instead of
registering it again.
Dismissal
Dismissing a Resource is permanent across rescans. Later scans update when it was last seen and keep your decision. The Console stays quiet about it from then on. You can dismiss a Resource you have already registered. Dismissing it unlinks the Agent for you.Registering From a Code Scan
Agents found by a code repository scan register the same way, from the discovered-agents list on the scan result. Register first, then supply the endpoint and credentials. After You Register
Once the Agent is active it enters the registry at the Registered stage:
A discovered Agent and a manually registered one behave the same from here.
